Clear and Protect Lotus Soak

A Lotus Soak is our affectionate term for a ‘sitz bath,’ where you immerse your bottom in a small bath or large pot of tea, for yoni and whole body healing and balancing.  Our Clear & Protect formula is a blend of herbs historically used to clear infection, repair tissue and then restore your body's protection.  Lavender and Witch Hazel are natural astringents and tissue toners.  Cornsilk soothes and protects the urinary tract. Barberry is a natural antiviral and antibacterial agent, while Calendula soothes inflammation and itching.  Pau D'Arco clears fungal overgrowth and Slippery Elm repairs and protects delicate skin.  Soaking, not steaming, is recommended to help clear your yoni of a viral, fungal or bacterial infection and to immediately soothe pain and irritation.
Current Formula: Cornsilk, Barberry, Witch Hazel leaf and Bark, Pau D'Arco, Slippery Elm, Calendula, Lavender

For a warm water (not hot - test on our wrist) Lotus Soak: Simmer 1/2 - 1 cup herbs in 2-3 quarts of water, covered, for 2-3 min. Make it stronger if you have strong symptoms or weaker if you will soak more often.  Remove from heat & cool to comfortably warm and soothing temperature.  DO NOT USE HOT WATER.  This treatment should feel wonderful and relaxing. Strain and pour tea in sitz bath pan, baby bath tub or similar, and soak your bottom for at least 15 minutes, once a week or more.  You can use your tub, you will just need to make more.  Your skin will love it too!
